Mission Statement
The mission of the Master of Science in Nutrition – Accelerated Dietitian Nutritionist Track (ADNT) is to provide evidence-based didactic coursework in conjunction with supervised experiential learning in a variety of settings to enhance the student’s application of nutrition knowledge, critical thinking skills, and their professionalism. This rigorous track aims to develop entry-level registered dietitian nutritionists who, upon successful completion of the program, are eligible for the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) credentialing exam and are prepared to be future leaders within the field of nutrition.
Program Goals and Outcome Measures
Program Completion
- At least 80% of graduates complete program/degree requirements within 2 years and 3 months (150% of the program length).
Graduate Employment
- Of graduates who seek employment, 90% are employed in nutrition and dietetics or related fields within 12 months of graduation.
Employer Satisfaction
- 85% of first employers rate graduates’ preparation for entry-level performance as average, above average, or excellent.
Registration Exam
- 90% of program graduates take the CDR credentialing exam for dietitian nutritionists within 12 months of program completion.
- The program’s one-year pass rate (graduates who pass the registration exam within one year of the first attempt) on the CDR credentialing exam for dietitian nutritionists is at least 80%.
Program Specific
- 90% of graduates will assess themselves as having satisfactory, more than satisfactory, or outstanding performance requirements for entry-level dietitian nutritionists at one-year post-program completion.
- 75% of graduates will provide leadership or service, professionally or to the community, at 3 years post-program completion.
