Adverse Winter Weather
With the Raleigh area under a Winter Storm Advisory, Meredith College classes will be held remotely on Monday, January 26, and Tuesday, January 27, 2026. Employees who can work remotely can do so during all shifts on January 26 – January 27. Campus activities for Sunday, January 25, are also cancelled.

Prospective teachers who are interested in pursuing licensure through the Residency process are invited to apply to our Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT) program. All programs are face-to-face and offered in the evenings. More information about licensure through Residency can be found on the Department of Public Instruction’s website

Eligibility

Residency candidates must be employed by an LEA (local education agency) and be admitted to a teacher education program. The “Residency License Verification/Certification of Supervision (Form RL)” form and the process for completing it are available on the Department of Public Instruction’s website.  A degree-dated transcript reflecting an overall GPA of 2.75 is required.
