The secondary teacher education for comprehensive science with a chemistry major teacher licensure program provides appropriate learning experiences to meet the needs, capabilities, and interests of high school students studying science with a chemistry focus. The program is designed to assist individuals in acquiring knowledge, developing skills and dispositions within a learning environment focused on active involvement and integrated learning activities. This program is available as a Bachelor of Science or a Bachelor of Arts.
We also offer a comprehensive science with Biology major licensure program, both as a Bachelor of Science program or a Bachelor of Arts program.
Requirements
To complete the secondary grades teacher education program and earn licensure in Chemistry for grades 9-12, students must complete the requirements for general education and the chemistry major, as well as the following licensure requirements.
Students must be admitted in the Teacher Education Program to enroll.
