Dance & Theatre Department Strong Stories
Wings student Vaune Blalock, ’20, came to Meredith with over 30 years of dance experience and a host of accolades, to which she has added a Bachelor of Arts with a major in dance from Meredith College.
For four years at Meredith, Leslie Castro, ’19, studied in an English classroom that featured a poster from the Shakespeare Theatre Company. After graduation, she found herself a part of that company.
“Going Strong” is more than a brand for Allie Sullivan, ’19, who has found a way to get involved in all aspects of Meredith College’s campus life from traditions to student organizations to performing on stage.
Victoria Mitchell, ’18, chose to pursue her degree in theatre at Meredith College because she knew her voice would be heard in the women’s college environment.
Sierra Smith, ʼ18, is has developed a career plan that will allow her to use both of her majors: dance and communication.
