Enriching the tradition of a strong music program, Meredith offers competitive scholarships to recognize outstanding musicians. These awards are renewed annually, for a total of four years, subject to the recipient’s remaining in good standing, being a full-time student pursuing a major in music, and maintaining a minimum GPA of 3.0 on all courses taken at Meredith. Note: Students applying for talent scholarships are encouraged to apply to the College using the Early Action Application Plan and must be admitted to the College by the Talent Scholarship Application Deadline.

Apply online for an audition registration and scholarship consideration and submit the Music Recommendation Form. The Music Scholarship deadline is April 15th, 2024.

To be considered for Music Talent Scholarship students must be admitted to the college. Scholarship recipients are selected based on musical talent, academic ability, previous performance, commitment to the field of music, and potential achievement in the field. Students who audition in voice, piano, or another instrument will interview with the music faculty. Scholarship recipients will be notified by mid March. Learn more about auditions for the Music Department. Initial scholarship notifications will be sent out the first week in March. Students auditioning after that date will be notified mid May.

Note: Students interested in being considered for the Honors Program or Meredith Teaching Scholars may apply to audition during Scholars’ Weekend February 16-17th. Students interested in being considered for music scholarships, but not interested in the Honors Program or Meredith Teaching Scholars may apply to audition during any of the posted audition dates or by individual arrangement.
