School Counselors
Thank you for the important work you do on a daily basis with students who are preparing for the next phase of their lives. Here, you’ll find information to help you guide and support women who are learning about their college options or are applying to Meredith College.
Our Admissions Approach
We take a personalized approach to the college admissions process. When considering applicants, we take into account not just grades and test scores, but factors such as student involvement in the community and leadership experience. Our admissions counselors work closely with prospective students to guide them through the college selection and admissions process. You can use the Find My Counselor resource to learn more about and connect with the admissions counselor assigned to your institution.
Opportunities to Visit Campus
School Counselors are welcome to schedule a High School Counselor Visit. These visits take place Monday–Friday at 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. and can include a meeting with an admissions counselor, a walking tour of campus, attending a class, chatting with a current student, and lunch in our dining hall. Contact Christine Borneo, Campus Visit Coordinator, to schedule your visit.
If you’re interested in scheduling a Group Visit for you and your students, you can do so here. Group Visits are offered Monday–Friday at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. and can include a walking tour of campus as well as an information session with an admissions counselor for high school groups.
Financial Assistance
Every first-year student who applies to Meredith will be automatically considered for the Academic Merit Scholarship, which guarantees $20,000 annually to qualified students. In addition, all eligible prospective students are encouraged to complete the FAFSA. International and undocumented prospective students are encouraged to complete Meredith’s Institutional Aid Application.
