On July 1, 2025, Aimee Sapp reached the one-year mark since she officially began her tenure as the ninth president of Meredith College. To honor this milestone, President Sapp shared memories and moments that stood out during her first year.
The Meredith College community gathered in Jones Auditorium on April 4 to celebrate the inauguration of President Aimee Sapp. She was officially installed as the College’s ninth president during the 10 a.m. ceremony.

President Aimee Sapp recently completed an early milestone in her term as Meredith’s leader – her first 30 academic days at the College.
Dr. Jo Allen has received the Order of the Long Leaf Pine, the highest honor for service in the State of North Carolina. The Office of the Governor grants the award to individuals with 30 or more years of service to North Carolina.
