NUTRITION, HEALTH & HUMAN PERFORMANCE
The Department of Nutrition, Health and Human Performance fosters a comprehensive approach to learning that promotes the integration of physical and intellectual skills and abilities. The department’s faculty and programs encourage students to develop disciplinary and interdisciplinary knowledge, critical cognitive abilities, movement and nutritional awareness, physical skill development, and lifelong wellness behaviors.

Through an internship and honors thesis, nutrition major Anna-Moriah Fung, ’24, has expanded her knowledge and passion for the field. Her next step: pursuing a Master of Public Health from UNC at Chapel Hill.

Chris Dunham,’16, M.S. in Nutrition, knew that he wanted to pursue a career in the nutrition field, but wasn’t sure being a dietitian was right for him. He earned his M.S. in Nutrition because he knew it would help him combine his passion for sustainable food and nutrition with his desire to improve food systems in North Carolina.
