Twenty Students Selected for 2019 Summer Research

This summer, 20 Meredith students will be collaborating on research projects with 10 faculty members. Academic programs represented include English, chemistry, religious and ethical studies, math, history, art, psychology, fashion, and nutrition.

“There is a wonderfully varied mix research topics — yielding what will surely result in creative, innovative, and noteworthy findings and conclusions,” said Paul Winterhoff, director of the Undergraduate Research Program.

Three of the projects are interdisciplinary, including students and professor-mentors from different disciplines: Nutrition and psychology, fashion merchandising and child development, and religion and psychology.

The student researchers will present their work at Meredith’s second annual l Women’s Undergraduate Research Conference, which is planned for Saturday October 5, 2019.
