Adverse Winter Weather
With the Raleigh area under a Winter Storm Advisory, Meredith College classes will be held remotely on Monday, January 26, and Tuesday, January 27, 2026. Employees who can work remotely can do so during all shifts on January 26 – January 27. Campus activities for Sunday, January 25, are also cancelled.
Please continue to monitor weather updates from the National Weather Service and local news outlets for the most up-to-date information on the storm. For more information on winter weather safety and preparation, visit ReadyNC.gov.

This year’s holiday video features President Jo Allen with her dog, Quincy, as she contemplates her retirement at the end of the academic year, which she announced in August. Dr. Allen’s plans are still evolving but will include a one-year appointment as the senior advisor and president-in-residence at the Council on Independent Colleges (CIC).
The video also includes a nod to Meredith’s upcoming production of Alice in Wonderland. 2024 marks the 100th year of faculty and staff performing a farcical rendition of the story for students.
Happy Holidays and thank you for your continued support of Meredith College!
