University Business has published in its print edition the opinion piece written by President Jo Allen and Pepperdine University President Emeritus Andrew Benton about the ways that higher education continues to be on the front lines of innovation for the public. Allen and Benton are both former chairs of the National Association of Independent Colleges & Universities (NAICU) board. The piece was originally published online by University Business on April 30, 2020.
Professor of Religious and Ethical Studies Steven Benko was interviewed by the Associated Press for “Me and we: Individual rights, common good and coronavirus,” an article about how the United States’ emphasis on individualism has affected the coronavirus response.
Assistant Professor of Communication Alan Buck was set to attend the The Spring National College Media Association Convention in New York City in March. The voice of collegiate media and its advisors, College Media Association serves student media pros, staff and programs with education, research and resources. CMA communicates and works with professional media organizations and education associations on the local, state and national levels.
