Anti-Racism Initiative Fall 2020 Update
- Published
Meredith College is working to address the racism that is affecting BIPOC (Black, indigenous, people of color) students, faculty, staff, and alumnae who are valued and respected members of our community. This effort will be inclusive, action oriented, and root focused.
An essential step in this process is the completion of a Campus Climate Survey to better understand the realities and experiences of people of color at Meredith. Current students, employees, and recent graduates all participated in the survey, which was conducted during the month of October in order to allow participation by incoming freshmen and transfer students.
Another important part of the initiative is the College’s commitment to frequent updates. The most recent anti-racism update was sent on October 28, 2020, including to parents of current students. Updates are archived on Meredith’s website at meredith.edu/anti-racism-initiative.
Parents are welcome to share feedback via email to anti-racismupdates@meredith.edu.
