Profile

In addition to his roles as a Professor and Department Head for the Department of Biological Sciences, Dr. Jason Andrus serves as advisor for ISPE (International Society for Pharmaceutical Engineers) and co-advisor for Beta Beta Beta, the Biological Honor Society.

Dr. Andrus teaches microbiology, molecular biology and biotechnology, and principles of biology. His research involves using molecular biology and biochemistry to understand the physiology of microorganisms.

He earned his Ph.D. in microbiology from N.C. State University and a B.S. in biology from Wake Forest University.
