Carol Lancaster Milano, ’79, currently in her third term on the Board of Trustees, has a family history punctuated with a long term commitment to Meredith College, beginning with her grandmother in the Class of 1928, sister in the Class of 1982, and continuing with her daughter in the Class of 2017. During her years at Meredith, Carol developed an interest in politics, and from there she worked on the staffs of five national presidential campaigns, and held positions in the White House, Republican National Committee, U.S. State Department, and U.S. Treasury Department, during the administrations of Ronald Reagan and George H.W. Bush.
She served as a former regional director of the Meredith Alumnae Association as well as past president of the Washington, DC chapter, and on the vestry of Saint Matthew’s Episcopal Church, Wilton, CT.
A resident of Longboat Key, Florida, Carol serves on the board of St. Stephen’s Episcopal School, a pre-K through 12 college preparatory school, located in Bradenton, Florida, where she chairs the development committee. An equine enthusiast and youth instructor, Carol is involved with numerous horse-related organizations including Sarasota Country 4H and Orange Blossom (Florida) Miniature Horse Club, and is an amateur exhibitor of nationally ranked miniature horses.
