Weather Alert: Changes to Operating Schedule on 2/19/25 and 2/20/25

Wintry weather in the Raleigh area is expected to impact roadways on Wednesday, February 19, 2025. Power outages are also predicted for the area. Based on these forecasts, the following changes have been made to Meredith’s operating schedule.

Classes are canceled on Wednesday. Given the potential for power outages, all on-campus and virtual classes are canceled for Wednesday, February 19, and until 11 a.m. on Thursday, February 20, 2025

Administrative offices will operate remotely on Wednesday, February 19, and through 11 a.m. on Thursday, February 20 to the extent possible. Administrative employees should be prepared to work remotely as directed by their supervisors, provided that power is available. Employees should consult with their supervisors who are encouraged to be flexible and recognize some employees may be unable to work because of a lack of access to power and the Internet.

Campus Conditions: Grounds crews will work to clear any accumulation on campus roadways and walkways as quickly as possible. However, surfaces may remain slick. Use caution when moving around campus and stay inside as much as possible.

Library Hours: Call 919-760-8532 or visit the library website to see if the library is open before visiting.

Next Update: This message concludes our inclement weather updates on tomorrow’s predicted winter weather event. Should additional changes need to be made to the operating schedule for 2/20/25, this decision will be announced by 8 a.m. on 2/20/25
