U.S. News Recognizes Meredith College for Social Mobility

The newest report released by U.S. News recognizes Meredith College for its Social Mobility ranking.

U.S. News released its 2026 Best Colleges rankings on September 23, 2025, and included Meredith College in a ranking that recognizes strong graduation rates for students with Pell grants.

In its introduction of the Social Mobility rankings, U.S. News writes  “Economically disadvantaged students are less likely than others to finish college, even when controlling for their achievement in high school. But some colleges are more successful than others at advancing social mobility by enrolling and graduating large proportions of disadvantaged students awarded with Pell Grants.”

Overall, Meredith was ranked #115 in the National Liberal Arts Colleges. Schools in this category emphasize undergraduate education and award at least half of their degrees in the liberal arts fields of study.
