Stunt to be Held April 11
- Published
STUNT is Meredith’s annual field day in the spring, where classes have a friendly competition! This year’s theme is “Y2K: MC Party Like It’s the 2000s!” and will be held on Friday, April 11, from 3-7 p.m. in the Courtyard area in between Johnson Hall and Belk Dining Hall. The day will include activities such as tug of war, a theme-tastic event, accessible activities, sensory grab bags and safe space, Lip Sync, and SO MUCH MORE!
Leaning into the theme for this year, one of the activities will be “Skip Me Baby One More Time,” a hopscotch race to see which class is best on their feet. Another event will be the “Catch the Butterfly (clips)” race, in which classes line up in chairs one behind the other, and see how many butterfly clips can be passed backward into buckets and not hit the ground. These zany games will also include accessible activities, such as the Y2K Relay, which features seated trivia and word search competitions. Additionally, students can look over the Visual Schedule to know what to expect, and they can grab some sensory-friendly items to help make the day even more enjoyable.
Staff, faculty, and our graduate students can get in on the fun as well– serving as Field Judges, Photo Finish Callers, Lip Sync Judges, and hosting “booths” to help make the day even more interactive (Hydration Booths courtesy of the Nutrition Graduate Student Association with orange slices to make sure students don’t get woozy. Check! A craft and activity booth provided by the Grad Programs in Ed students to offer coloring pages and Y2K crafts. Check!). The grand finale, the Lip Sync Battle, is always followed up by a dance party—this year featuring early 2000s music—where students and employees alike can get their groove on while the final scores are tallied. Regardless of which class “wins” the overall event, STUNT is a good time for the entire Meredith community!
