Student Health Insurance Requirements for 2018-19
- Published
Meredith College values the health and welfare of its students. To serve the health needs of our student community, Meredith requires health insurance as a condition of enrollment for all full-time undergraduate (12 credit hours or more), licensure only, pre-health post-baccalaureate, international, Sansepolcro students, and dietetic interns to assure that students have access to health care services beyond what is available on campus. All required students must take action in the Meredith BCBS insurance portal by Wednesday, September 12, 2018.
The health insurance decision portal opens Monday, June 25, 2018, for your student to either waive or enroll in coverage. The portal will close for all students on Wednesday, September 12, 2018 at 5:00pm EST. New students will need to set up their account prior to taking action in the portal. Current students will need to log-in to the portal using their Meredith email address and their previous Blue Cross Blue Shield (BCBS) portal password (different from the student’s Meredith password).
The Meredith College sponsored 2018-2019 BCBS policy is $247/month, billed per semester (5 months in Fall 2018, August 1, 2018-December 31, 2018, and 7 months in Spring 2019, January 1, 2019-June 30, 2019).
Please visit the Student Health Center website for detailed, step-by-step instructions on how to navigate the portal. Please note that the portal information must be completed by the student.
