Student Group Sponsors Faculty/Staff Appreciation Garden Party

Faculty, staff, and students enjoyed a Garden Party on Wednesday, April 23, at the Chapel Gazebo area. The event’s purpose was to thank faculty and staff for all of their contributions to students’ lives and to have fun celebrating with a Bridgerton theme.

Faculty and Staff Members wearing fancy hats.Activities on the lawn included making bouquets, painting tea cups, and watching an artist paint a canvas. The program was filled with lots of tributes and entertainment by students, including reciting poems, playing the violin, and singing songs. Associate Vice President for Human Resources Pamela Davis Galloway and Vice President for College Programs Jean Jackson also expressed their gratitude on behalf of the College.

A highlight of the event was the horse-drawn carriage on the front drive. Participants stepped up into the carriage in front of the Chapel and then the horses took them around the traffic circle, down the front drive heading toward Johnson Hall, and then back to the Chapel. Even the attendees who did not ride the carriage enjoyed looking at the beautiful horses and the carriage.

At the event, Malcom and two other MAB members wore beautiful gowns that fit the Bridgerton theme. These students greeted participants as they entered the event.
