“Miss Mary” Massenburg Celebrated for 50 Years of Service

Meredith Dining Services employee Mary Massenburg has served generations of students in Belk Dining Hall. On August 25, 2021, it was Massenburg’s turn.

A special event was held to celebrate “Miss Mary” for her 50 years working in Belk Dining Hall. Meredith College and Aramark leaders congratulated her and offered thanks for years of service. She has served as the salad bar attendant for her entire career at Meredith.

Posts about the occasion on Meredith College’s Instagram and Facebook accounts prompted more than 3,250 likes and nearly 190 comments from students, alumnae, and other Meredith community members. Many comments focused on the extra effort Massenburg has made to support students.
