Meredith Social Entrepreneurship Challenge

The School of Business will host a series of events this spring in relation to the Meredith Social Entrepreneurship Challenge (MSEC).

The MSEC is a business/nonprofit idea competition for both undergraduate and graduate students that will take place from February 13 through April 12.

The first event is an Elevator Pitch Competition on Monday, February 13, at 6 p.m. on the Johnson Hall elevator. Students will pitch their business idea on the 42 second elevator ride. The winner will receive $100. The Elevator Pitch Competition is open to all students, and no registration is required. Just show up and pitch!

Student groups of 1-3 are then invited to enter the MSEC by submitting a 2-3 page executive summary to Assistant Professor of Management Nathan Woolard at nawoolard@meredith.edu. The Challenge will feature several events or workshops. A $4,000 winner will be named at a Community Showcase on April 12.

Students interested should contact Dr. Woolard or visit meredith.edu/MSEC for more information on the MSEC and the related events.
