Meredith Families Exceed Initial $30,000 Fundraising Goal! Campaign to Continue
- Published
Upgrades to campus security technology have been made possible through generous donations by Meredith families to the 2023-24 Parents and Families Project.
After its initial launch on Giving Tuesday in the fall of 2023, the Meredith Fund Office received generous support for the campaign to make technology upgrades to our security measures. By June 2024, the fundraising goal of $30,000 for the Parents and Families Project had been surpassed!
Given the overwhelming support for this initiative, the College is excited to continue this campaign for a second year in a row! The College is thrilled to be able to continue its efforts to enhance security for all students, faculty, and staff. The Meredith Fund Office looks forward to building off of the momentum felt in the previous year.
Meredith Chief of Police Al White has been an integral part of the process of researching products and services and planning how the funds will be used to upgrade our current systems.
“The funding we received last fiscal year will facilitate the ordering and installation process for two cameras, which will provide additional surveillance to Meredith’s two campus entrances 24 hours a day, 7 days a week,” said White.
Chief White is working with Flock Safety to purchase this new equipment.
“Continued fundraising for this project will help us stay on track with any software updates and support the maintenance funds of these cameras,” said White. “These improvements will significantly improve Meredith’s ability to monitor activity, and entry points, and quickly alert the community in the event of an emergency.”
The College is deeply grateful to all the parents and families who have generously contributed to this project. We look forward to having these additional safety measures on campus as they will benefit the entire Meredith community.
All families are encouraged to make a gift to the Parents and Families Project as we continue to strengthen our security measures.
