Meredith College to Celebrate 2025 Woman of Achievement

Meredith College will honor Professor Emerita Betty Webb, ’67, with the 2025 Woman of Achievement award on Monday, April 28, at 5 p.m. in Jones Auditorium. The event will be followed by a reception in Belk Dining Hall west.

Dr. Webb was a longtime faculty member in Meredith’s English department and director of international programs. Among her achievements in international education was establishing Meredith’s study abroad site in Sansepolcro, Italy. Having retired in 2013, she returned in 2023 to serve as interim director of the WINGS program.

During the event, Webb will be interviewed by Dr. Jean Jackson, ’75, vice president for college programs and professor of English at Meredith College.  A member of the Meredith faculty since 1983, Jackson serves as a member of the Executive Leadership Team. She was honored as Woman of Achievement along with Meredith’s Alice in Wonderland tradition in 2024.
