With the Raleigh area under a Winter Storm Advisory, Meredith College classes will be held remotely on Monday, January 26, and Tuesday, January 27, 2026. Employees who can work remotely can do so during all shifts on January 26 – January 27. Campus activities for Sunday, January 25, are also cancelled.

Assistant Professor of Psychology Jenna McChesney has been awarded the 2025 Rains Wallace Dissertation Award from the Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology (SIOP) for her research on how job applicants disclosing anxiety and depression on LinkedIn are evaluated.
The award was announced on February 26. McChesney will be recognized at SIOP’s 2025 conference in Denver.
The prestigious Rains Wallace Dissertation Award honors the best doctoral dissertation germane to the field of I-O psychology, highlighting research that is both methodologically rigorous and creative.
The SIOP’s Achievement and Best Paper Awards are designed to honor graduate scholars and practitioners who contribute to workforce improvement through data-driven insights and pedagogical advancements.
McChesney joined the Meredith College faculty in 2022. She teaches in the I-O Psychology Master of Arts program and in the undergraduate psychology major.
