Faculty/Staff Accomplishments 10/2/24

In this issue, we celebrate the accomplishments of faculty/staff in art and economics. We also share news about a recent honor for a theatre and education alumna.

Assistant Professor of Art Holly Fischer has two sculptures selected for inclusion in the 2024 North Carolina Artists Exhibition at the Contemporary Art Museum (CAM). The exhibition runs from September 29-November 17. It includes two First Friday receptions on October 4 and November 1 from 6-9 p.m. CAM is located at 409 W Martin Street in Raleigh. 

Professor of Economics Anne York was quoted in a US News article about how the proposed economic policies of presidential candidates could impact the housing market. The article was published on September 11, 2024.

Alumna Chosen as WRAL Teacher of the Week

Alumna Julie-Kate (Cooper) Hazelrigg was recently chosen as WRAL Teacher of the Week. Hazelrigg received her B.A. and teaching licensure from Meredith. She is theater arts teacher at Garner Magnet High School. Watch her feature
