Dr. Nyasha Junior to Deliver 2019 Preston Lecture

Biblical scholar and author Dr. Nyasha Junior will give this year’s Preston Lecture in biblical studies. Her talk will focus on issues of gender and race in the story of Sarah and Hagar.
The lecture will be held on March 19, 2019, at 6 p.m. in Jones Chapel. A reception and book signing will be held in the Chapel Common Room following her talk.
Dr. Nyasha Junior is Associate Professor of Religion at Temple University in Philadelphia. She holds a Ph.D. in biblical studies from Princeton Theological Seminary. She is the author of An Introduction to Womanist Biblical Interpretation (Westminster John Knox Press, 2015).
