DanceWorks Scheduled for April 27-29, 2018

The Meredith College Dance Program will present its annual spring concert, DanceWorks, Friday, April 27-Sunday, April 29, 2018. More than 50 students will perform 27 student works, new dances by faculty Carol Finley and Eleanor Smith, and a work by guest artist Lindsey Kelley Brewer.

The Emerging Artists concert, a show for first time choreographers, runs Friday at 7:30 p.m. and Saturday at 3 p.m. Mainstage Choreographers will perform Saturday at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday at 3 p.m., and a Gala concert featuring work from both concerts will be on Sunday at 7:30 p.m.

The Emerging artist show will run just over one hour, and Mainstage just under two hours. Both are family friendly and both are free to all. Styles this year are modern jazz, contemporary, hip-hop, tap, and contemporary ballet with a wide variety of moods and music.
