The day begins at 8 a.m. with Move-In, followed by Orientation starting at 1 p.m.
Approximately 450 new undergraduate students are expected. New students will come from 16 states and four countries, including China, Kenya, The Netherlands, and Trinidad.
When the new academic year begins on August 21, Meredith expects to enroll approximately 550 new undergraduate and graduate students. The College’s total student population is expected to be approximately 1,800 students.
Student members of the Residence Life staff are among those who are looking forward to meeting Meredith’s newest students.
“Move-In Day is so special at Meredith because everyone around you has this excited energy,” said Resident Assistant Sarah Karboski, ’21. “New students are getting to experience all the wonders of Move-In Day, while returning students are seeing their friends again and coming back to their favorite place.”
Student Peyton Barfield, ’21, previews what makes Meredith’s Move-In unique.
“Move-in Day is a production that has been carefully crafted to create an experience that our sisterhood enjoys and celebrates every year,” Barfield said. “New students get to see enthusiastic students greet them in their home. There’s also the balloon arch that boasts ‘You’ve made it! Welcome home!’ to all the students who enter under it.”
