Greetings from the Office of Admissions!
The Class of 2022 has arrived and classes are in full swing! Our admissions counselors have begun planning their travel for the fall recruitment season and will be hitting the road traveling to various college fairs and high schools in-state and out-of-state. We need your help to connect with prospective students and help build strong, lasting relationships with young women who are considering Meredith College.
As an ARMS volunteer, you have the opportunity to participate in strategic outreach to high school seniors in the fall and high school juniors in the winter. Our fall outreach emailing week will take place in October/November and will focus on reaching out to prospective high school seniors encouraging them to apply to Meredith and visit campus for an individual visit or Think Meredith Open House. Alumnae are also able to share their stories of success and college experiences during these outreach weeks in order to inspire students to apply to Meredith.
Mark your calendars for the Discover Meredith event on Saturday, October 27. ARMS volunteers can take part in this annual event where alumnae can bring prospective students to campus for lunch and a “traditions tour” so students can experience the cultural aspect of attending Meredith.
Another way to support recruitment efforts is referring students to Meredith. Alumnae can complete the “Refer a Student” form if they would like to connect a prospective student with Meredith. This referral would merit an application fee waiver if the student applies. Our application for students to apply is available on our admissions site. https://staging.meredith.edu/admissions/apply.
The Office of Admissions values the potential impact of alumnae building and shaping the next strong class at Meredith. If you are interested in volunteering or have questions about ARMS, please contact Anna Lambert, ’09, Assistant Director of Admissions and Regional Recruiter for Mid-Atlantic States, at amlambert@meredith.edu.
