Alumnae, current students, and friends attended the Interior Design Affinity event hosted by the Alumnae Association, on October 23, 2022.
The tour in Durham, N.C., featured the work of Alicia Hylton-Daniel, ‘08, owner of Hylton Daniel design+construction. The tour included two new construction, modernist homes, a 1920s craftsman that is undergoing full renovation within the Trinity Park neighborhood, and a completely renovated home within the Watts-Hillandale neighborhood.
“As a general contractor, Alicia Hylton-Daniel offers a unique design perspective. She was able to detail the entire process – construction, renovation, and design elements within each home,” said Hilary Allen, ‘01, director of alumnae relations. “Hylton-Daniel shared thoughts and ideas on current design trends and guided guests on a tour of each home. From the original architectural designs to the final punch list, attendees learned more about the design of a home from start to finish.”
