Let’s Celebrate Your Big Arrival!
Get ready — Move-In Day at Meredith is more than just getting your keys; it’s a celebration of you joining our community!
When you arrive at the front gate, the fun starts right away. Our energetic OCrew — a spirited group of students — will be there to cheer you on, direct you to the best place to unload, and welcome you with the same excitement they once experienced themselves. You’ll also meet smiling faces from our larger community—all ready to make your first day unforgettable.
Here’s what you can expect:
- All first-year, transfer, and commuter students will check in on campus in person to pick up your Meredith student ID (your Cam-Card), sign a housing contract, and grab your room key.
- You’ll be assigned a check-in and move-in time between 8:00 AM and 12:00 PM on Saturday, August 16.
- Full details about the move-in process will also be shared by the Office of Residence Life and posted here in late June.
We’ll be waiting with open arms (and a spectacular balloon arch). It’s going to be a day full of laughter, new beginnings, and memories you’ll treasure long after you’ve unpacked that last box.

Pro Tips for a Smooth Move-In Day
Bring a hand truck or dolly!
Trust us — wheels make everything easier. Families who brought a hand truck or dolly were so glad they did.
Stick to your assigned arrival time.
You’ll be given a move-in window (between 8:00 AM and 12:00 PM) to keep traffic moving smoothly. Be sure to arrive at your assigned time and enter campus through the Hillsborough Street gate.
Know your residence hall and room number.
When you get to campus, we’ll need your hall and room info to direct you to the right unloading zone.
Unload quickly.
Once you’re at your unloading spot, you’ll have 15 minutes to move your belongings out of the car. After unloading, you’ll head to longer-term parking. It’s a well-oiled machine — and with your help, it stays that way!
Decorate your car!
Show your Meredith spirit by decking out your car for Move-In Day! Don’t forget to snap a pic and share it on Instagram with #MeredithMoveIn25 and tag @MeredithCollege — you might see your photo featured!
