Summer Camp: Middle School Dance Intensive

Spend the day growing as a dancer, teacher’s assistant, and/or performer in this contemporary technique, teaching, and repertory intensive for rising 7th, and 8th, and 9th grade girls and boys with previous dance experience. Dancers will spend the mornings in a supportive yet challenging curriculum, including contemporary modern, contemporary jazz, and yoga for dancers. All classes will be taught by Meredith College dance faculty and alumnae.

New this year, students will choose the new Teacher’s Assistant Certificate program or Dance Repertory for the afternoon. The Teacher’s Assistant Program, run by our Private Studio Teaching director, Courtney White, will guide students through concepts and real-life preparation to be effective assistants in their home studios. Repertory-focused students will learn a work selected and adapted from the 2025-2026 Meredith College Dance season. The last day of camp will feature an afternoon performance for the dancers’ guests. All classes will be taught on professionally sprung floors.
