We hope all Angels had a great start to the spring semester! For students starting this semester, we extend a special welcome to Meredith. We understand that as you begin this new journey, you may be feeling a bit anxious or overwhelmed. That’s why in today’s blog, we share four tips to help you thrive this semester and beyond.
The semester may start off with a lighter workload but be sure to stay on top of all your assignments and exams. We recommend taking some time at the beginning of the semester to jot down due dates and exam dates as well as scheduling some weekly focus time.
Additionally, you may find it helpful to connect with your professors early on. That way, if you ever need extra help, you’ll feel more comfortable reaching out. One of the benefits of attending a small college like Meredith is that you can more easily form relationships with faculty. Take advantage! Their support can help you not only ace an exam but also land jobs or apply to graduate programs when you reach that point.

Joining a club or student organization is the perfect opportunity to meet new people who have interests similar to yours. Lastly, remember that many people are just starting their college journey, too. You’ll gradually find your place, and by the end of your first semester, you’ll likely feel right at home.
