We celebrated the Class of 2025 and all their accomplishments at Commencement on May 10, 2025. We’re incredibly proud of our newest alumnae and know they’ll continue to lead lives of purpose and impact.
We are excited to share 8 Strong Stories in today’s blog to show the impact of a Meredith education. These alumnae have unique backgrounds, interests, and goals, but one thing they have in common – they’re what strong looks like.
At Meredith, international student and Honors Scholar Student Nafissa Bia, ’25, found a vibrant community, rich experiential learning opportunities, and internships that led to a full-time position after graduation.
Shae-Lynn Henderson, ’25, an international student, majored in psychology with minors in biology and mathematics—a combination driven by her deep curiosity about the brain. Her involvement in field hockey, a wide range of clubs, and academic pursuits challenged her to step outside her comfort zone and discover the path she hopes to follow after graduation.
Transfer student MacKenzie Kotch, ’25, studied chemistry at Meredith, learning more about the field and gaining skills that she plans to use in a forensics lab. While at Meredith, participating in theatre productions helped her find friendships and learn how to advocate for herself.
Softball player and accounting major Avery Puryear, ’25, knew Meredith was the right place for her when she toured campus and met her coach. Thanks to a supportive environment and guidance from her faculty mentor, she will begin her Master’s in Accounting at NC State in the fall.
Lauryn “LT” Turner, ’25, came to Meredith ready to make her mark. As a lacrosse player, student leader, and broadcaster for a weekly sports show, she’s having a meaningful impact on campus while preparing for her future communications career.
Meredith provided a supportive environment for Cady Stanley, ’25, to grow as a writer, thinker, and dancer. From studying abroad to producing the Colton Review, Stanley developed several skills that will serve her beyond college.
Music, dance, and athletics led Cynthia Styron Sanchez to Meredith. During her four years, she found a supportive community that helped her focus and prioritize her goals.
After transferring to Meredith, Business major Trina Zazarine, ’25, gained academic knowledge to supplement the practical experience she already had as an entrepreneur and U.S. Air Force veteran.
